Jim Blackmann is a writer and musician. He grew up in Canada before moving to the north of England. After a period of travelling, he settled in Bath in Somerset. He began writing novels, essays and poetry before finally turning to song-writing. His ‘heartfelt’ musical style reflects his formative years, and his background as a writer shows in his lyrical ability. His musical influences include the Canadian folk singers Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell.
